Abstract
Coal mine gobs always pose a serious threat or hazard on the safety of aboveground structures. As a result, only by identifying the distribution of underground gobs and taking appropriate measures can the safety of aboveground structures be ensured. The paper introduces the coal mine gob detection with ground penetrating radar (GPR) from perspectives of principles, methods and techniques, and the application effect is also demonstrated with engineering projects.
