  • Abstract
    Using high-resolution remote sensing data (SPOT5, Cartosat-1) combined with field survey, island shoreline and land of island reclamation of Dong tou county were obtained in 2004, 2008, 2010 respectively. The result showed that seven inhabited islands shoreline have undergone tremendous changes such as Damen, Niyu, Zhuangyuanao and Dongtou, and little changes in 6 inhabited islands and 30 uninhabited islands from 2004 to 2010; Land-use types of island reclamation mainly include unused land,aquaculture, construction land,industrial, port site and warehouse from 2004 to 2010. Unused land was distributed in Damen and Dongtou, aquaculture was distributed in Niyu and Zhuangyuanao, industrial, port site warehouse were distributed in Damen and Zhuangyuanao. Land-use types of island reclamation have changed drastically from 2008 to 2010, mainly transformed from the unused land, aquaculture to construction land, industrial and port site.
