Abstract
Typhoon Morakot occurred in August 2009 was analyzed using MODIS multi-channel remote sensing data. Especially Morakot´s cloud phase and ozone-channel were analyzed by using infrared spectral channels data. The results show that ozone-channel was contribute to the high, low cloud distribution, and can be used as an indicator for the distinction between high and low clouds. In addition, it has a good correlation with cloud top temperature and radiation.
