  • Abstract
    In the traditional management information system of road and bridge infrastructure, the only text and table form are used to manage the data, and the statistics method is applied to analyze the data. It lacks for the spatial analysis and management of geographic data. Therefore, GIS technology is introduced to visualize and analyze the information data of road and bridge infrastructure. Firstly, by using the developed platform-Microsoft visual studio 2005 and ArcGIS Engine, the management information system of road and bridge infrastructure is built up, which implements various functions, such as data storage and management, inquiry, statistics, thematic map representation, spatial analysis, real-time monitoring of road, and monitoring and warning of well cover so on. It helps to manage the road and bridge infrastructure effectively.
