  • Abstract
    A new method of multiband image fusion is proposed. The algorithm, based on an unsupervised method, takes the spatial contextual information into account in the application of Dempster-Shafer theory and sets up initialization and regularization processes adapted to remote sensing images. The importance of introducing spatial contextual information has been illustrated through forest area classification using the Landsat TM sensor.
