Abstract
Several ERS SAR and RADARSAT images have been used to investigate the construction work development of the new Gardermoen Airport in Norway. It has been shown that SAR can work as an interesting additional information source when one wishes to follow and register the different stages of major construction work at a higher frequency than which possibly can be obtained using optical remote sensing images. This work also shows that RADARSAT images with 10 m spatial resolution are preferred to ERS SAR images when it comes to details of buildings and other constructions
