  • Abstract
    A three-DOF steel frame model was built up by Matlab, to simulate damage and calculate its vibration response. Finally, amplitude jumps are found in the processed signals. the results show that damage detection on acceleration signal by using Wavelet Transform method is superior to on displacement and speed signal, the function of judging whether there are damages or confirming the moment the structural damages occur can be realized too.
