Abstract
The Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) runs a series of three day courses which provide an introduction to the design of wiring installations to the safety standards contained in their Wiring Regulations. The authors discuss the development of a CBL course. `An introduction to the Design of Wiring Installations´. The course covers material which is much the same as the conventionally taught courses and is aimed at similar groups of people. They discuss system design, the authoring procedure and evaluation
