Abstract
Land Use/Cover Change (LUCC) is one of the core research projects which belongs to the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP) and the Global Environmental Change Human Dimensions Programme (HDP), It is the world´s hot spot and cutting-edge environmental research problem, the typical Land Use/Cover Change and its environmental effects of global change research is one of the important way to recognize. In this paper, as the study area in Miyun County of Beijing, Miyun County in 1996 by TM remote sensing image as data source, the area of land use information extraction. Firstly, taken a series measures of original image data preprocessing, then established the Miyun County land use classification system, using different methods to extract land use information, such as ISODATA classification method, Mahalanobis Distance classification method, Maximum Likelihood classification method, to contrast the accuracy of three classification methods, based on it, to analysis the different types of land use and land cover classification accuracy. The paper analyzes and evaluates the classification accuracy results, the overall accuracy of three classification methods are all more than 80%, satisfied the application requirements. Although the Maximum Likelihood classification method has higher classification accuracy, but accuracy of some land use and land cover classification types are relatively worse.
