Abstract
Summary form only given. Wastewater can be sterilized by plasma methods without chemicals. In this study, the wastewater refined by physical methods was sterilized by the corona discharge technique. Erwina carotovora bacterium aqueous solution was placed in glass tube with two electrodes. Atmospheric pressure air plasma with 2 kV voltages was applied to aqueous solution surface. Under constant voltage corona discharge, sterilization ratios of bacteria into the aqueous solution were observed. Density of the bacterium decreased as the applied time increased. At the end of 1 minute, descending bacterial density at a rate of approximately 18% at the end of 6 minutes, this ratio has been increased to until 96%.
