Abstract
In this study, an already-proposed remote control method for a constrained linear system is extended to compensate for transmission delay and improve tracking performance. The main feature of this study is the use of time stamp information to estimate the state of a remote plant. The use is very natural and suitable for an index feedback structure of the proposed remote control system. To illustrate its effectiveness, the method is applied to pan control of a hand-made network camera mount, and then, some experimental results are shown and compared to those from the conventional method.
