Manufacturing machinery

The United Kingdom is well placed to exploit modular, configurable technology in manufacturing machinery to commercial advantage. The paper mainly considers how the Machinery Technology Centre and the University Consortium are trying to assist this exploitation by encouraging the transfer and implementation of the technology in industry and its continued renewal. Although small, it is hoped that these organizations will provide role models for future national initiatives
