    This paper describes the practical difficulties that arise in obtaining optimum performance from an FM radio transmission system. The constant envelope property of FM makes it well suited to applications in the microwave/millimetric area. These frequencies are becoming more important commercially. To ease the task of FM system design and verification the software tool PDFM is introduced
