Abstract
In this paper, we show how the generation of parity equations technique can be extended to singular system. The decomposition of a singular system into subsystems, both slow and fast subsystems, allows us to generalize the technique used for standard systems. For an observation horizon with finished length, the system output can be particularly expressed in terms of the initial and terminal state and the inputs; the elimination of these two particular states then provides the desired parity equations which can be used for diagnosis
