Abstract
K-band (18-26.5GHz in here) traveling wave tube (TWT) is used for satellite communication or data transmission. National Key Laboratory Science and technology on Vacuum Electronics in BVERI has been developing high efficiency K-band radiation cooling TWT, and prototypes have been obtained with 100W CW output power, 50dB saturation gain, less than 52deg phase shift and 55% overall efficiency. This paper will describe the design and test results.
