Abstract
Small antennas have been a subject of research for fifteen years. By using Spherical Wave Expansion (SWE) tool the radiating properties of these antennas have been analyzed. From these previous investigations, electrically small antenna has been considered as a dipole-like radiation pattern defined by TM10 or TE10 spherical mode. An example of multi-modal electrically small antenna is given in this paper to show that an important part of the radiating energy could be distributed over multiple electric and magnetic radiating sources.
