  • Abstract
Cable modems and ADSL are the front running candidate technologies for existing network operators to offer very fast Internet access. The cable modem offers the best entry strategy for providing a fast Internet service. The service will leap over the ISDN and there are several attributes that are likely to lead to a significant change in customer behaviour. NTL is likely to have to run fast to keep up with the new ways customers behave once they have acquired the taste for high access speeds. We have a migration path with the cable modem technology for the PC and also intend to position ourselves to introduce other technologies as the market requirements demands
