Abstract
A physically tenable generic model of launching localized droplet-shape waves is proposed. All eventual concretizations of this model are based on a line pulsed source whose front propagates faster than its wave along a finite segment. For such class of models, the general spacetime structure of the emanated pulsed wave is found and investigated using the Riemann-Volterra technique enhanced by the method of spacetime triangle diagrams.
