  • Abstract
    This paper presents a novel control strategy translating to scalar control some energy saving control laws proposed for vector control, and forces the induction motor drive to operate at a suitable slip angular frequency, assuring loss reduction of the drive. Energy saving capability, parameter variation effects, and dynamic behavior of the scalar control technique are analyzed and experimentally evaluated.
