Abstract
The design and development of the part task trainer are described. A real-time visual system is based on computer-generated synthesized imagery and accurate six-degree-of-freedom aerodynamic simulation. High-fidelity imagery provides personnel training in target recognition and the subtleties of automatic video tracker operation, with training in both electro-optical and infrared spectra. Digitally processed visual data are used by the hardware tracker, thus emulating the tracking characteristics of the real weapon system
