Abstract
Summary form only given. We report on three-color imaging through turbid media using coherence gating technique in one BaTiO/sub 3/:Co photorefractive crystal which has sensitivity at the three primary colors. We use a He-Cd laser, which simultaneously oscillates at the three primary colors from single laser tube. Polarization of these beams is parallel to optical axis of the crystal. The beam is divided into a pump beam and a signal beam by a beam splitter. The signal beam is expanded and propagated through before the incidence on the BaTiO/sub 3/:Co. In order to divide the storage area of each color, the signal beam and the pump beam are dispersed, for avoiding mutual erasing between gratings of different wavelength. A hologram is stored in the BaTiO/sub 3/:Co by interference between the signal beam and the pump beam. After the hologram is recorded, the reconstruction image was observed by a color CCD camera. We have shown that the photorefractive coherence gating is an effective technique for color imaging through turbid media.
