Abstract
Shell powder was used as coal briquette sulfur-fixed agent. Orthogonal testing method was used to study the main factors which have influences on the desulphurization ration. Its desulphurization ration is 56.6% at 1150°C, and it increased above 40% than CaCO3. The main component of shell powder is CaCO3. It also has high alkali metal such as Na and K, and other elements of iron, aluminum and silicon. The cinder which generated at 1150°C by coal was studied by XRD, and the mechanism that the shell powder has high desulphurization ration under high temperature is discussed. CaAlSi2O8 which is composite crystal is found in cinder. CaSO4 is covered by it at high temperature, then the decomposition of CaSO4 is suppressed. And the desulphurization ration is improved.
