Abstract
Summary form only given. Tin hypothiodiphosphate (Sn/sub 2/P/sub 2/S/sub 6/, SPS) attracts attention because of a fast response time and a wide range of spectral sensitivity (0.5-1.3 /spl mu/m), though the gain factor decreases for longer wavelengths. One way to increase the gain factor is to apply an external electric field to the sample during grating recording.
