Abstract
A miniature magnetic sector mass spectrometer capable of separating into the mass range from 1 to 50 amu has been designed and developed. It mainly consists of analyzer unit and electronic unit. The instrument dimension is 25 cm long, 25 cm wide and 16 cm high. It weighs 2.5 kg, and the power consumption was measured to be 5W. All these characteristics make this miniature mass spectrometer suitable for portable analytical instrumentation.
