  • Abstract
A new permanent magnetic operating mechanism (PMOM) for vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) is developed with simple structure, low cost, high reliability and little energy consumption. Permanent magnet is used as driving component and moving part. Moreover, the electromagnetic field and permanent magnetic field have been analyzed by using Maxwell software before the structure was confirmed. This PMOM can not only switch on or switch off the VCB quickly and stably without bouncing, but also keep the states without power consumption.
