  • Abstract
    A prefilter-equalizer structure for cascade form 2PFIR filtering is proposed. This structure consists of a prefilter made up of cascaded cyclotomic polynomial (CP) filters, and an FIR equalizer having signed powers-of-two coefficients. It is shown that this prefilter-equalizer is often easier to design, and can perform better than direct and cascade form 2PFIR filters
