  • Abstract
A time-integral equation for high-temperature combustion kinetics of coal char is built based on fractal theory.. TGA temperature-programmed analysis was implemented for char combustion of a lean coal. The fractal model fitting curve and the experimental curves were compared. The lean coal char combustion rate is controlled by reaction kinetics in main combustion zone and is controlled by both reaction kinetics and O2 diffusion through the ash layer in the burn-out zone. The fractal model fitting curve is in general agreed with the experimental data.
