Abstract
Summary form only given. In conclusion, we have demonstrated all-optical conversion of 1.25 Gbit/s data from 1300 nm to 1550 nm. The penalty for conversion was 2.4 dB at a BER of 10-9. The wavelength converter demonstrated here potentially operates at high speed, with low input power and low polarization sensitivity.
