Abstract
After availability of 3D LCD display systems, the stereo vision applications without glasses become more and more popular in our daily life. However, the stereo contents are still not rich enough for the public. In this paper, we propose a simple and novel generation procedure to produce stereoscopic video from monoscopic moving video. The proposed algorithm mainly focuses on exploring the effective methods for matching frame selection and other rectification steps such as frame shifting, transformation, and reshaping. Experimental results reveal that the proposed method can effectively pick up the matching frame to provide suitable horizontal parallax and adjust vertical parallax such that the generated video sequences can properly exhibit stereo scenes in stereoscopic LCD display systems.
