  • Abstract
This paper studies the feasibility of injecting geothermal water. Firstly, it analyzes the hurt of injecting cold water, and the temperature loss is divided into two parts including in well bore and in formation. Then, with mathematical model, the differences of two parts temperature loss are got. The last, combining with the relationship of physical parameters and temperature, the displacement efficiency is got. If adopting conventional pumping and injecting system, the water heat loss is too large. Therefore, it introduces a new technology to reduce heat loss, which applying packers to make the function of pumping and injecting in the same well bore. In addition, according to the data of a well on-sit, it predicts the displacement efficiency by applying geothermal water. And find that the efficiency is about twice as much as injecting cold water. So, from technical and economic point of view, it is feasible to use geothermal water to improve the effect of oil displacement.
