Abstract
The American Patent System grants to inventors powerful and enforceable exclusive rights in inventions. It is unique, and superior to other patent systems, giving inventors a better opportunity to obtain and enforce a patent on their invention than in any other country. These unique features create a favorable climate for investment in inventions, and the American economy is evidence of this. Proposed changes in the American Patent System, if enacted, would diminish the value of a United States Patent, and the incentive to invest in inventions
