Abstract
In this paper we introduce an approach to detect and analyze the formation of Brillouin precursors through dispersive salt water at frequencies below 2.5GHz. The technique is based on the estimation of the frequency response for the medium under study. The proposed technique is validated using a non-asymptotic formulation which utilizes the relative dielectric permittivity εr(ω) characterized by either well-established models or experimentally determined.
