Abstract
Summary form only given. We present a new method to build surface relief gratings, which involves a laser-induced liquid/solid phase separation in photosensitive mixtures. Homogeneous and very regular thin solid films are generated. The growth law of the relief is obtained by recording and analyzing the dynamic behavior of the diffraction pattern efficiency of a probe beam (c.w. He-Ne laser).
