  • Abstract
    In this paper, complex permittivity and permeability of three types of YIG specimen and one nickel ferrite have been measured all in demagnetized state. The YIGs under measurement are 99.9% pure YIG (4piMs=1800plusmn5% Gauss), Aluminum-Substituted YIG (4piMs=1000plusmn5% Gauss) and Gadolinium-Substituted YIG (4piMs = 1200plusmn5% Gauss). Nickel ferrite has the magnetic saturation, 4piMs of 5000plusmn5% Gauss. Though quite a few methods have been developed for material permittivity and permeability measurement, the cavity perturbation technique has been implemented to carry out the measurement tasks here due to both simplicity and accuracy reasons.
