Abstract
This paper proposes different topologies for cell dimensioning in 2D-images for movement detection in consecutive frames. These topologies use variable dimension working cells, in 2D-images, and the criteria for cell reduction are based on adaptive methods that account for previous searching results. The developed image processing methodology changes the cell´s working area, taking into account the detected movement amplitude. These reductions on the cell´s working area improve significantly the performance of the digital processing methodology.
