  • Abstract
    Application sharing can be applied to data conferencing, distance education and project collaboration for engineers as a major function for a collaboration-based system in a distributed environment. Application sharing allows joint working based on a single-user application. A user can share a program running on a computer with other people who are geographically separated. In this paper, we present an application sharing object (ASO) and discuss its behavior in sharing applications in real time in a collaboration-based system that consists of activation, update, input and control ASOs. Also, we implement an application-sharing collaboration engine (ACE) to process all the ASOs in the various systems
