  • Abstract
    The authors have developed a high dynamics induction motor control scheme using a low-cost, 16-bit, single chip microcontroller. The control algorithm, running on an evaluation board of the microcontroller, implements indirect vector control on a 1.5 kW servomotor. The required digital processing has been performed by means of a multitasking software architecture and careful code optimization. Experimental results confirm the expectations of excellent dynamic behaviour from the theory of flux orientation prediction, without using expensive 32-bit microprocessors or DSPs
