Abstract
A generic method for modelling the dynamic performance of gas turbines has been developed based on a series of modular component models. The user chooses what gas flow and mechanical connections are to be made between the component models and can easily construct single shaft, twin shaft, recuperated, reburner, intercooled or other arrangements. In this paper the basic modelling principles are explained along with brief descriptions of each component model followed by some validation results
