  • Abstract
Continuous micro-cogeneration development and therefore distributed energy production have drawn attention to the technologies which use renewable source or improve performance of the heat conversion. In this field, Energifera, utilizing his own know-how in grid-connecting and in operating in stand-alone and exploiting the " field oriented control" (FOC) to control a variable speed asynchronous generator, has produced "Tema " (total energy manager) machine. Tema, using andothermic motor energy, produces electrical energy with a power range of 1 : 10 of the nominal power of the asynchronous motor and obtains a performance of 90% with the heat recovery. The parallel connection of more machines in the same net point is a very interesting problem because involves new control strategies that more and more will be elaborated considering the diffusion of this application. Simulation modelling has been followed by experimental results to confirm the actual on-site capability.
