  • Abstract
The paper presents the modelling of two short-stroke permanent magnet linear actuators for control studies. It is shown how the electrical, the magnetic and the mechanical circuits of the actuators are identified and modelled analytically. Finite-element analysis is then used to determine the non-linear parameters of the model. The derived models are implemented for dynamic simulations using Matlab/Simulink and calculation results are compared with those of finite-element-analysis.
