  • Abstract
The principle of a new type of AC resistance standard with calculable frequency characteristics is proposed. The resistive element is a short stick of ceramics covered of a metallic thin film (Ni-Cr). The standard is defined in 5 terminals or in 4 terminal pairs configuration. The calculation of characteristics has been made both with analytic and numerical methods. These calculations permitted to define the geometry of the standard in order to get a time constant lower than 10 ps for a 10 k/spl Omega/ resistance (up to a few megahertz).
