Abstract
The control systems proposed for a variable speed wind turbines becomes nowadays more and more complicated. The modern horizontal axis wind turbine (HAVT) consists of wind rotor and variable speed generator controlled via power inverter. The article deals with novel wind turbine controller structure dedicated for a variable speed operation. The stability investigation of proposed controller with integrated aerodynamic torque observer has been conducted with a help of the first Lyapunov method.
