Abstract
In zero-voltage-transition (ZVT) inverters, the variable timing control scheme is a conventional approach used to realize soft-switching operation with reduced circulating energy in the auxiliary circuit. However, it requires complicated control implementation for the gate signals of the auxiliary switches. Besides, high resolution load current sensing is mandatory. A new concept of load adaptive fixed timing soft-switching control is generalized in this paper. By applying the concept to typical ZVT inverters, a simple soft-switching control scheme is derived for each inverter without need of any load current information
