Abstract
The V2 architecture is known for its fast response and simple compensation. A complete small-signal model for a V2 controlled buck regulator is presented, which provides useful tools and insights for analysis and design. The capacitive ripple effect ignored in previous work is being considered for the first time. All the small-signal characteristics can be predicted using this model. The analysis is confirmed with experiments. Design guidelines are provided
