Abstract
Using plate and coaxial cable samples, the space charge distributions in various polyolefin materials such as PP, HDPE, LDPE and XLPE under DC voltage are investigated by the pulsed electro-acoustic method, and the mechanism of formation of space charge in polyolefin materials under electrical stress is discussed. From the test results, it is shown that the difference in characteristics of space charge distribution in various dielectrics is attributed to the physical and chemical inherence of the materials
