  • Abstract
Guangzhou has been experiencing rapid urbanization while it also faces great challenges in resouces utilization and environment protection. The concept of eco-environment carrying capacity(ECC) is employed to describe and evaluate these challenges. First, population carrying capacity of water resources and land resources are respectively estimated, and then a comprehensive evaluation model is established to evaluate the quality or status of ECC of Guangzhou in order to understand the key factors that affect the sustainable development of Guangzhou.
