Extensible Markup Language for Petroleum Geologic Information - PXML

The Extensible Markup Language for Petroleum Geologic Information Expression (PXML) is a new expression method of petroleum geologic document information, which is of great significance for storing, exchange, sharing and analysis of petroleum geologic information. This paper mainly discussed the definition, features, expression model of text and data information, transformation from regular document to PXML document, as well as architecture and functions of petroleum geologic information and analysis system. A case is provided for management and analysis of well log data.
