Abstract

We present a grid-based Civil Engineering Collaboratory (CEC) in which civil engineers can perform their research regardless of geographical location. CEC enables researchers to conduct a remote experiment as well as to interact with colleagues at a distance over the Internet. The result data from the experiments can be recorded and shared among researchers through search and replay capabilities.
