Abstract
This paper analysis a successful case study about knowledge and technology transfer (KTT) that can be taken into consideration by the universities wishing to improve their KTT models. Indeed, once the factors that foster the knowledge and technology transfer between universities and firms are identified, it will be possible to act accordingly in order to convert the new knowledge generated by the universities in economic value. Through a case study of an European University, this paper discusses a KTT model and highlights how this model, through its unique structure and its support for innovation has been highly successful in stimulating the transfer of research and technologies from Aveiro University (AU) into business organizations.
