Abstract
The normalized coprime fraction (NCPF) problem for infinite-dimensional systems is relatively complicated. The existence of an NCPF of single-input-single-output systems, which lie in the transfer function class developed by F.M. Callier and C.A. Desoer (1978, 1980), was proved previously. The NCPF problem of infinite-dimensional systems, in general, is still open. This study fills part of the gap by showing that a semigroup system with unbounded input and output operators and infinite-dimensional input and output spaces processes an NCPF if it is exponentially stabilizable and detectable
